Bell Ringing at Haselbury Plucknett
The bells at Haselbury Plucknett are rung by an enthusiastic band of local ringers for Sunday services and on practice evenings. The bells are rung from the ground floor, and being a light six (6 cwt tenor) are suitable for ringers of all ages and stature. The local band consists of ringers with an impressively wide age range.
The practice evening is Tuesday from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Complete beginners to experienced ringers are most welcome to attend. We do our best to accommodate everyone's requirements from 'rounds and call-changes' to 'minor' methods.
A tower outing is organised approximately once a year, when we sample the delights (or otherwise) of bells that we haven't rung before. This is sometimes a headache for the organiser, but is invariably a good day out for all concerned.
Visiting bands of ringers are made welcome subject to the other activities that take place in the Church.
